Our 8th graders enjoyed an unforgettable day at Rocking Chair Ranch! From fishing and swimming to friendly games and plenty of laughs, the students made the most of every moment outdoors. A hot dog lunch brought everyone together before heading back for more fun in the sun and time spent with friends. It was the perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and memories made—one they’ll definitely be talking about for a long time.
A big thank you to Rocking Chair Ranch for having us and for providing such a welcoming and fun experience for our students!

A big thank you to Mrs. Lois Droegemeier and the San Angelo Symphony for bringing the “Music in Literature” program to our students! Students followed along with the story of “Berlioz the Bear” while live music helped bring each page to life! 🎺
Our Hawks were introduced to a variety of instruments, including the clarinet and flute, and learned how music can help tell a story. One of the highlights was hearing a lively performance of Flight of the Bumblebee! It was a fun and interactive experience that combined reading, music, and creativity all in one🐝

Hawk Baseball brings home ANOTHER Gold Glove and the AREA CHAMPIONS title! 🏆⚾️

🥈 Evie Itz & Ava Duncan — STATE RUNNER-UP in Girls Doubles
🥉 Kymbree Hirt & Ella Bowman — 3rd Place State Finishers in Girls Doubles

These athletes don’t just show up for a season — they put in year-round work, endless hours on the court, early mornings, late evenings, and countless matches of preparation to compete at this level. Their commitment, discipline, and love for the game is what makes results like this possible.
We are incredibly proud of the way they represented Wall High School and the standard they continue to set for Wall Hawks Tennis. Hawk Nation is proud of you!

The Lady Hawks secured a big win in the Regional Semifinals tonight and continue adding to their gold glove collection! 🥎🏆
After getting a second chance, this team made it count—showing resilience, grit, and exactly what it means to battle together from start to finish. Every point was earned, and every moment mattered.
Congrats, Lady Hawks—keep it rolling and go get the next one! 💪

Our 1st graders had a fun visit from our Wall FFA friends today! 🌱 They learned about the parts of a plant and enjoyed getting to learn from the older Hawks! Such a fun day for everyone!

Big thank you to ADACCV Prevention for bringing an impactful experience to Wall High School today.
Students learned about the effects of alcohol on the body and then participated in a series of hands-on tasks both with and without Fatal Vision goggles to simulate impairment and see how it affects coordination and decision-making.
These real-world simulations helped reinforce the importance of making safe, responsible choices. We appreciate your time and commitment to student education and safety!

Lady Hawk Softball will take on Canadian at 6:00 PM at Lubbock Cooper in the Regional Semifinals! Admission is $5 per ticket. Come out, pack the stands, and support the Lady Hawks! 🥎

Our 8th grade students took their learning outdoors for a Force & Motion celebration focused on Newton’s Three Laws. ⛳️
Using golf as the connection, they saw how motion, force, and inertia show up in real time—from the swing of the club to the distance the ball traveled. Great way to bring physics to life!

Happy School Nurses' Day to our outstanding nurses: Mrs. Jennifer Wilson, Mrs. Shawna Block, and Mrs. Ellen Wyatt!
Today on School Nurses Day, we celebrate the incredible care, compassion, and dedication of our school nurses. In a small school setting, their impact is even more personal—they know our students by name, notice the small changes no one else sees, and are often the calm in a moment of worry. From daily check-ins to emergency care, they show up with steady hearts and expert hands, helping students feel safe, seen, and ready to learn. We are deeply grateful for the way they care for our school family each and every day.
Thank you!

UIL Track & Field State Meet is scheduled for May 14–16, 2026, held at Mike A. Myers Stadium at the University of Texas at Austin!

6th graders had an incredible hands-on learning experience at the Texas Tech Outdoor Learning Center in Junction, Texas!
A paleontologist shared how careful research and detailed observation notes can make all the difference in scientific discovery, bringing real-world science to life for our students. Students examined animals in their natural river habitat along the Llano River, identifying both invertebrates and vertebrates right at the water’s edge.
They explored what makes an aquatic ecosystem healthy—and how to recognize signs of pollution—while also taking part in a hands-on watershed activity where they built and tested their own terrain models.
Students were fascinated to learn how a river changing course can reshape an entire landscape over time, and how scientists can identify what other animals live in an area just by studying one set of tracks
It was a day full of curiosity, discovery, and real-world learning—and it wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the Wall Education Foundation We are so grateful for the opportunity to make experiences like this happen for our students!

Today in Mrs. Branch’s biology class, students completed a flower dissection to explore the reproductive structures of a flower up close. Hands-on learning is in full bloom as dissection season gets underway!

Our Intro to Culinary students have been hard at work on a fun and creative project! 🍔🚚 Each student designed their own food truck from the ground up—complete with unique menu items, pricing, and detailed descriptions.
This project gave them the chance to build a wide range of hands-on skills, from creativity and planning to real-world applications—and they truly delivered!
And adding to the fun… our teachers get to be the official taste testers! 👨🍳✨

Our 8th grade Career Portal students have been hard at work—researching careers that interest them, creating poster visuals, and practicing their speeches!
They wrapped it all up by presenting their findings at their very own Career Fair. Our WMS students loved getting to learn about a wide variety of careers from our 8th graders. Great job to all who participated! 👏
